Purpose Statement FHI 360, represented by USAID LENS, seeks to implement an activity FHI 360, represented by USAID LENS, seeks to implement an activity to provide basic support in developing the ICT literacy and skills of 8 women in the plumbing sector in Zarqa.

USAID LENS seeks the services of a firm to capitalize on this enthusiasm and provide intensive, relevant ICT training and support that builds the skills and confidence of these 8 of these beneficiaries to deploy ICT in their businesses, all micro-enterprises in the plumbing sector.

FHI 360, represented by USAID LENS, seeks to implement an activity for Scoot, that will have a fleet of up to 40 drivers to implement the delivery of parcels and other items between Business to Business (B to B) and Business to Consumer (B to C) and Consumer to Consumer (C to C). The fleet will be managed by an experienced team that will utilize the latest parcel/document delivery systems to manage the logistical implementation and transport of parcels and items in the most timely and efficient manner. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit offers for software system development specifically tailored for Company activities of parcel and other items delivery, and to manage the fleet and the team in the most efficient way.

RFP #11042018: Marketing Campaign for Home-Based Businesses - Phase 2

 

FHI 360, represented by USAID LENS, seeks to implement an activity to promote home-based business regulations in Jordan through a marketing campaign. 

As part of its efforts to support micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Jordan, the USAID Jordan Local Enterprise Support Project (LENS), has been working on providing new opportunities for home-based Businesses (HBBs) in Jordan since 2015.

To reinforce these efforts, the Project has been working at the policy level to support formalization of Home Based Businesses (HBBs). The project has been working with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs (MOMA) and Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) to amend and expand the existing GAM model to allow for registration and licensing of HBBs across Jordan.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from organizations describing their ability to develop and implement an awareness campaign to promote the Ministry of Municipal Affairs (MOMA) Bylaw on licensing Home-Based Businesses (HBBs) and new GAM instructions that were launched in July 2017.

USAID LENS would like to engage the services of a Jordanian marketing firm to develop NMB’s marketing strategy, to develop marketing collaterals required to drive forward sensitization, and conduct marketing campaign activities to promote NMB’s products in an engaging and inspiring way to its potential clients. The marketing firm is expected to build NMB’s capacity while implementing the marketing campaign, and to evaluate the outcomes of all activities undertaken.

RFP #10242018: Improving Export Competencies of Jordanian Food Processing MSEs

 

FHI 360, represented by USAID LENS, seeks to implement an activity to provide a range of export-related technical assistance and capacity building services for Jordanian food processing Micro Small Enterprises (MSEs) to link them with export markets through the support of accessing new markets, diversifying their clients’ segments, increasing revenues and employing Jordanians.

This technical assistance will support the food processing MSEs to improve their export capabilities and competencies, introduce new quality production, new product development and management, packaging; transportation and logistics and Information Communication Technology (ICT) solutions.

 

Therefore; USAID LENS is soliciting proposals from Jordanian firms, business associations, business service providers, organizations or coalitions of these entities based in Jordan. Service providers must have staff that are fluent in both English and Arabic.

In order to assess the feasibility of a revitalized salt industry in Azraq, a comprehensive plan including assessment of water resources and use is needed. The plan includes three inter-related components:

  1. A Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) scheme to restore water to the aquifer.
  2. A modernized model for salt production, marketing, and sales.
  3. Review of sewage and solid waste disposal alternatives to reduce pollution and protect water resources.
